The Bowen Technique
The Bowen Technique recognises that the body maintains its structure through the inter-relationship of muscle and fascia. Fascia is connective tissue which provides a covering for all structures and organs of the body including muscles; it allows flexibility and movement between various parts of the body. Bowen addresses the muscle structure and fascia tissue to bring about changes in posture, in turn bringing about skeletal realignment. By changing the way in which muscle and fascia interact, structure becomes more balanced and stable. Because of this approach the Bowen technique often has a longer lasting effect on body alignment than many other therapies.
The technique often has excellent outcomes for many conditions, sometimes within 2 or 3 sessions.
